Hatfield & Dunscroft Day of Action

Doncaster East Neighbourhood took part in a day of action in the Hatfield & Dunscroft areas yesterday.

We held pop up Police stations across the area, with the main attraction outside the shops on Station Road. 

We were ready to discuss ongoing issues and areas of concerns with local residents. 

I think its worth mentioning we were approached quite dramatically by one local resident who wanted to strongly express his dissatisfaction with the Police and Local Government. Although some of the words used were a little questionable, it was actually great to have the opportunity to discuss what we are doing and show them some of the work we have actually done in the area.

We were also joined by our Doncaster City Council Colleagues, who were on hand to offer advice and guidance to the local community. 

In the morning we executed two drugs warrants at properties in Dunscroft. There were intelligence led by information received by those living in the area.

We continue to tackle the ongoing issue of Off Road Bikes in the area. During the afternoon we visited known local offenders to issue warning letters about using motorbikes and the dangers they pose in the community.

It was also an opportunity to reinforce this message with parents of some of those involved.

Motorbike crime continues to be a common problem raised by local residents and we continue to work in partnership with the City Council to target harden the area.
