Vehicle Seized - No Insurance |
On Friday afternoon, officers from your Doncaster East neighbourhood policing team stopped a vehicle in Thorne due to the driver being seen using his mobile phone whilst driving. The driver was also dealt with for driving whilst otherwise in accordance with a licence – as the driver only had a provisional and was unsupervised. Driving without insurance is not only illegal but it puts innocent road users at risk.
This individual now faces: · A minimum fine of £300 · A minimum of 6 penalty points on their licence · Their vehicle being seized · Court appearance
Insurance is not optional - it's a legal requirement to protect all road users. If you're caught driving without it, you risk losing more than just your car. The driver will also face additional penalties at court with regards to driving without a valid licence and driving whilst using his mobile phone.
