Obstructive Parking - Barnby Dun

Officers from Doncaster East neighbourhood policing team have attended Pinehall Road and Station Road in Barnby Dun following reports of vehicles being parked and causing an obstruction.

Officers have attended the location following complaints raised by local residents and have advised several motorists in relation to where they park their vehicle.

We are also aware of an incident last week whereby two vehicles collided at the junction of Pinehall Road and Station Road.

  • Parking on a pavement can block pedestrian access, especially for those with mobility issues, and force them into the road.
  • Parked vehicles can obscure visibility for drivers, making it dangerous to enter or exit a junction or navigate a bend.
  • Parking near lowered kerbs, designed for pedestrian access, can be particularly problematic for those with mobility impairments.
  • Parking in a manner that causes obstruction can lead to fines and potentially even vehicle removal.

If a vehicle is causing an obstruction, the police may issue a fixed penalty notice (FPN).

We will continue to monitor the area.
