The pictured Fiat Punto was seized by Police on Wednesday night after it was found to be displaying the incorrect number plate. The vehicle was found parked in Armthorpe displaying a registration plate that does match a Fiat Punto, just not this one in particular!

The driver has clearly spent time doing research and found a similar registration to their vehicle. 

This tactic is called ‘cloning’ a vehicle and is often used when criminals want to use a vehicle to commit crime. 

If the driver of this vehicle would like to collect his car, this can be arranged. We just need to know why you've changed the number plates before we let you take it back!
