Following concerns raised at the latest Thorne and Moorends community engagement meeting we have undertaken further traffic operations in and around Thorne town centre.
 

On Tuesday, six drivers were advised with regards to the manner of their driving. This was due to their speed and inability to control their vehicle.
 

On Thursday, three drivers were given a reminder on what to do when traffic signals turn to red - the junction of Fieldside and Field Road can get very busy - those who speed up in order to get through the traffic signals risk having a collision with either another vehicle and or a pedestrian who might be crossing the road.
 

Remember - It is an offence for any part of your vehicle to pass the white stop line if a traffic light has turned red. It is also an offence to exceed the speed limit when passing a traffic light.
