ANTI- SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR During this period demand in both Police and Fire services increases due to Anti-Social Behaviour and accidents and injuries from using fireworks inappropriately. Gathering in large groups or gangs Drinking alcohol in a public place Making excessive noise Disturbing someone/community Damaging someone’s property

FIREWORKS It is an offence for anyone to throw a firework in a public place It is an offence for any person under 18 to possess an adult firework in a public place. Using or buying fireworks illegally can result in a £5,000 fine or imprisonment for up to 6 months. Adults must not set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am, except for: Bonfire Night, when the cut off is midnight. We would encourage always attending an organized event New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year, when the cut off is 1am
ARSON AND ANTI- SOCIAL FIRES What is arson? Arson is the criminal act of deliberately setting fire to property.
