A 19 year old male from Armthorpe has been charged with shoplifting, Common Assault and Racially Aggravated public order.

On 15th June 2024 a male entered B&M in Armthorpe and proceeded to steal confectionary items to an approximate value of £20. 

On leaving the store he assaulted a staff member and then used offensive and racial comments.

PC Sam Graham worked hard to identify and locate the offender, later interviewing him and bailing him for further enquiries. 

PC Graham obtained the necessary evidence and submitted a comprehensive file to the Crown Prosecution Service.

CPS have now returned a decision to charge this male, and he will be attending court on 28th November 2024.
