Yesterday officers were called to reports of a Citroen Relay van being stolen from Eastfield Road Armthorpe. We were made aware that the offenders were using a Grey Audi A3 as a convoy vehicle, so officers set off in hot pursuit! 

As Officers were travelling around the Fishlake area they caught sight of the stolen van and the convoy vehicle. A few minutes later they found both the stolen van and the grey Audi A3 abandoned.

Within 20 minutes of the theft, both vehicles were recovered and the van will be returned to its rightful owner.

We continue to see an increase in vans being targeted by thieves. Please take every step possible to ensure you vehicle is left empty, locked and secure.
